The first ever National Train Day has been announced for May 10, 2008,

Train-Sim.Com 5th Anniversary
It's hard to believe, but five years ago, March 28, 2001,
Train-Sim.Com first opened to the public. At the time, Microsoft Train
Simulator was not yet released and the new hobby was barely known, but
in the past five years we've developed a considerable community of
railfans who enjoy various computer sims. Even the cancellation of MSTS2
did not stop the hobby, and with several new sims under development we
can hope for a long future.
