Ohio Valley System Expands
The Ohio Valley System has added a Narrow Gauge Division and a
Traction Division to its popular VR. Narrow gauge enthusiasts and
traction enthusiasts now have a home. OVS added the Rio Grande
Southern and Mesaba Electric routes, with plans for Red Arrow Lines
and more narrow gauge routes in the future. In related news, OVS is
the first VR to form an integrated virtual airline, Ohio Valley
Aviation. Like the railroads, the airline provides modern and vintage
equipment and flights.

The Union Pacific Engine Pack is Stream Lines' first product release.
The UP Engine Pack contains a collection of six modern era

Maple Leaf Tracks Announces Cascades Crossing
Cascades Crossing recreates the operations of the Southern Pacific
Railroad in Oregon during the early 1990's. The route spans 220 miles
of mainline from the rail centers of Eugene and Klamath Falls,
Oregon. Between these two locations lay some very challenging
stretches of railway, including a 52 mile stretch of steep mountain
territory with plenty of bridges, countless tunnels, and helper
locomotives.

OVS Short Lines Adds Northern Arkansas Route
OVS Short Lines, the short line VR, has added Andre Ming's North
Arkansas Railroad to its route lineup. The virtual railroad is the
short line operator of the popular "Ohio Valley System" and members
are free to run with that busy regional VR as well. The Northern
Arkansas route is steam based and set at the turn of the century,
which prefectly complements the diesel era Canton Railroad. The VR
also operates the East Metro route.

VBuilder3D Now Freeware
Developer Thierry Videlaine's VBuilder3D is modelling
software that lets you quickly created 3D objects that can be exported to
DirectX, .3ds and Microsoft Train Simulator formats. The .3ds files created
by VBuilder3D can also be imported into Gmax and thus used with any sim or
game that has a Gmax game pack. The standard version is now freeware, limited
only on the number of shapes per object.

Train Simulator. Discreet's gmax is a 3D design platform used for many games

Simulatortracks announces the release of the Brussels - Lille TGV
Line version 2. With this route, built with 25 kV gantries and TVM
signalling, you can drive your TGV or Eurostar from the Lille area to
Brussels. In this version are added several other rail
tracks which connect to the TGV Line. For example a trip from the
Lille TGV depot to Lille Europe and then returning to Brussels is
possible.
